How the planner works

This is a rule-based starting plan, not an AI scan of your wardrobe. Rename the example pieces to match clothes you own and check that the combinations really work.

Pack-light mode avoids an automatic second pair of shoes. It does not check suitcase dimensions, weight or airline rules. A long trip without laundry may still need a larger bag.

Quantities assume the selected washing interval and time for clothes to dry. Tops may be reworn in mild weather; hot or active days use a fresh top each day. Underwear and socks include one spare set.

Include the outfit you wear while traveling; those pieces do not all go inside your bag.

What belongs on a vacation packing list?

Start with the clothes and shoes you will actually wear, underwear, sleepwear, personal toiletries, your phone and charger, payment methods, and the documents and medicines your trip requires. Then add weather protection and equipment for specific activities. Pack for your itinerary, not every imaginable situation.

Before you close your bag

  • Try each outfit with its shoes and layers. Check comfort while walking and sitting, not just how the pieces look together.
  • Check the actual forecast, venue dress codes and laundry access. Add specialist hiking, swimming or event equipment separately.
  • Keep required documents, prescribed medicines and essentials for a delay accessible. Check current security and baggage rules with your carrier.

Add your own requirements: glasses, accessibility equipment, child or pet supplies, or specialist activity gear.

FAQ

For a mild-weather trip without laundry, this starter plan uses five tops, three bottoms, two light layers, walking shoes and sleepwear, with eight sets each of underwear and socks. Hot weather, exercise, dress codes and personal preferences change that amount. Edit the list instead of treating it as a rule.

Yes. Use Print / save PDF, then select your browser’s PDF destination if available. Your edited outfits and checked items are included. No email or account is required.

No. It uses the climate and activities you select with transparent planning rules. It does not access your location, check a live forecast, inspect your suitcase or analyze your clothes.

Not necessarily. Pack-light mode avoids an automatic second pair of shoes, but garment bulk, suitcase dimensions, trip length and carrier limits still matter. Check your own bag and the airline’s current rules.

The starter quantities are for one adult. Make a separate plan for each traveler and add child-specific, family, accessibility and specialist equipment yourself.
